In point of fact I heard a discussion on NPR yesterday where prosecutors were saying that they don't even have to show motive. Why? Because no one knows but the person committing the act.
Since she included the kids and got so upset about you having a "date" this week, my guess is she is having reservations about losing you.
Document everything, including this invitation, in case there are problems later on.
Wow, she's a real of piece of work. So sorry you have to deal with her.
My ex-husband was going through his third divorce when he was diagnosed with leukemia. His STBX got a restraining order, claiming she was "terrified" of him, while he was laying in a hospital bed hooked up to tubes! After he got out, she called and pitched a fit, demanding that he bring her some boxes she'd left at his house. Foolishly, he put them in his truck and drove to her place--where she had him arrested for aggravated stalking because of the restraining order! The fact that SHE called HIM insisting that he bring her stuff to her didn't carry any weight with the police.
I also agree with document, document and document.
She might be having second thoughts.
There are 2 protective orders and one RO against my husband. Legally, he's not supposed to have contact with me or our daughter. I don't enforce it. In fact, we are trying to get the PO's modified to allow for peaceful contact.
I know she is going to twist it so I get in trouble.
You did good!
Sorry she is still up to her antics
