Mine can barely manipulate the TV remote let alone find a website!

That has happened before and it was ugly!

My ex knows now that I am here. I went as far as sending him the link. If there was anything he wanted to know about how I feel and think he is welcome to it. He is very much aware that I speak my mind and don't hold back a lot. Whatever he reads it's his feelings that are hurt. Plus he doesnt seem to have much internet access where he is. I guess life isn't so sweet without me.

I would say definitely not. I was going to say something negative about him but I have changed my mind. He is a human after all with his own hang ups and survives the best that he can. As I do too.

I doubt it. When I first connected to the web in 1996, she wanted me to remove the ethernet cable because she thought internet was literally a tool being used by Satan to destroy humanity. I am beside myself with shame at being married to this person for 7 years when now-a-days, I would walk on the other side of the street for fear that I would suffocate from the intellectual vacuum trailing in her wake.

I am with Chrurop.. He does not feel that he has any problems.. When he told me he was healed and better, My first question was did you join AA, and his reply was No. Case in point... Kimmee

Edward - do you think she really believe that about Satan? I'm always amazed at people that hold such beliefs. What do you think contributed to her believing in something that is quite obviously not true?

My stbx is a very savvy internet user. I wouldn't be surprise if she is a DSer, but I haven't felt her evil presence.

She grew up in a fundamentalist household. Her father thought that all fossils were just fancy rocks or animals that drowned in Noah's Flood. That was the mindset.

But, people of that mindset, what do you think causes then to believe something so blatantly stupid? Are they afraid of something?

I don't think it is obvious for them. They were taught from the bible. The bible doesn't teach science only faith.

Perhaps a combination of factors, Sandy. But if I had to narrow it to a single cause it would be that these poor folks had never developed critical thinking skills needed to dissect and validate extraordinary claims. Oftentimes, a piss poor primary education is the culprit for this shortcoming.

I told him about mine but I told him that he needs to:

1. Stay away from my playground
2. If he ignores the above, then, he will read all the uglies and he will be exposed as the idiot that he is.
