Hello. Caught my husband on phone telling another woman he loves her. Of course he maded up a story. I know in my heart he is lying. I told him I was done. I have built such a wall around my heart because this isn't the first time. This difference is I did not cry and desparately try to hold on or please him. Does that mean I have lost my feelings? He has put me though years of hell, I question myself as to why I stay.Is it middle age, fear of being alone? My response to that is I am always alone. Ids if fear of the future? Letting go of inlaws? Failure and shame ( no one in our families have divorced)? My journey is trying to figure out why I haven't left yet. Kids are grown, finances are under control but I am sure I will get screwed in the end. I am so confident as a mother, business owner, ect... but my ltr life (6 yrs, 20 yrs )has always been a disaster. Any advice? Could really use some friends.
Though I am not going through infidelity issues with my wife, I have a hard time excusing that in others. Marriage requires a strong foundation of trust and commitment to work and he is showing he is not capable of these basic things. If you have addressed this in the past with him, he is indicating he is not motivated to maintain any corrective actions for himself. You need to protect yourself. No one deserves to be treated like this. Praying you find strength, peace, and happiness.
Been saying prayers and trying to retrain my mental thinking. Love yourself as best you can.
