Bummer...it's 25 degrees and a snow storm is coming to Illinois. I need to move there. I have never been there. Is it a good place for teenagers?

My oldest is 11. The best place for him is at home with me..too much craziness going on in the world.

He, of course, has a different opinion :)

Funny thing is, while here (central Indiana) it is 50 degrees and has been weeping rain all day, I don't actually mind the February midwestern weather. I have been grateful almost to go through this during the purgatorial months of the year - dour, cold, dreary. It is a match to my mood and I frankly think I would find it incongruous to have started this process at a more perfect time of year.

Here's sort of what I hope for:
January - March - the first quarter of my divorce year; a shock to the system and hypothermia sets in to my emotions.

April - June - slowly coming back to life after the devastation to the land that was deep winter. I hope, oh how I hope, that the actual divorce gets completed in this timeframe.

July - September - the bones, the blood, the heart and organs warm back through and the sap flows again in my veins.

October - December - Letting go of the old. Re-defining on my terms, esp. through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. My STBX hates the holidays and I love them - for years I have been settled with his dread at this time of year; I can't wait for a Christmas free of his anxiety and misery.

It's a cloudy 40 degrees in Vermont. That's pretty warm here for this time of year.

Going to get it all tonight and tomorrow - rain, snow, sleet....

I would love a warm sunny day right about now!

Took my kids to St. Pete beach on sunday and have a sun burn to prove it! Gotta love winter in FL....

Who would want that when it is 34 degrees and we are expecting over a foot of snow tonight...I LOVE WI! :(

Let's see... how do I describe the Cleveland area? Dark, damp, rainy, cloudy, snowy, windy and MASSIVELY depressing. Not a good place for a melancholic prone to depression.

Now ex-spousal unit want to move back to VA cuz she doesn't like it here anymore even though she's the one who wanted to move here in the first place.

Still living the residual effects of being a doormat to a domineering woman.

i keep wondering why the heck i moved from maui to chicago for my stbx. now i m stuck here for a while i couldnt imagine being far from my daughter. I hate it here

okay, I'm jealous of all the warm weather out there. 20's to low 30's, snow today, snow tonight , and more snow tomorrow in Iowa!

It hit a whaping 25 degrees today were I was working, after I shoveled snow for about 2 hour to get into my job.
