My x was really nasty about not letting the kids stay with me for my mom's birthday party, even tho he wasn't even home but on vacation, he wanted them to stay with his mom bc it was his time. He simply said, "just stick to the custody agreement." But he cannot bring the kids back on time every week bc he is working, a legitimate reason that I was willing to overlook and accomodate. I still get this same run around when I ask for extra time with the kids, I have a big family and lots of nieces and nephews birthdays coming up. When I fight back, I feel like the bad guy. I don't want to allow this to continue, allow him to keep being late bringing the kids back and not cooperate when I need. Sometimes I just don't know what to do anymore and this has to happen.
its an agreement that a judge has to sign - he has to go by it - if he doesnt, he can get called on it. call him on it - it should be a non-issue. thats why you went thru it to begin with - so it wouldnt be a hassle.
