Sometimes it feels like a nightmare, doesn't it? I've felt like I was in a bad dream and can't wake up sometimes. After almost 8 weeks I still have moments of utter disbelief where I think "I can't believe he did that." My breakup was very sudden and shocking, nobody (including me) could believe it. The night before it happened he was acting completely normal, came out into the kitchen where I was doing something, hugged and kissed me then told me he loved me. The next day...gone.

I'm 7 months in and although it has gotten lots better, I still have random thoughts and have to remind myself he is gone, we're divorced. This weekend my kids are going with their dad (my first marriage)out of town and my very first stinkin thought was, oh I should invite my current ex over for a romantic dinner and who knows what else. It made me so sad that that wasn't an option for me. I will never have that with him again.
My point of this is to ask you hang in there, I promise it does get better with time and the pain does lessen with each passing day. We have all been thru this, are all in different stages but we know exactly how you feel. We are here for you! Hugs

Feel like it's a good movie gone bad. But there's no rewind button so I can get back to the good parts. And there is no fast forward button where I can skip past the bad part.
There is just the play button.

I want to shut this movie off. But everyone says just hang in there; the movie does get better. But I keep watching the clock hoping the movie hurries up and goes off. I keep waiting for the good part. I'm watching the clock, I don't even know if I care about the ending anymore.

it may take a long while, but I believe we both will have joy in our lives. There is a saying, you are not the worst thing you have ever done. I believe that. Stop and think of all the blessings that you have in your life. Everything else besides him and what you did. There is much more to you than the worst thing you did. I think to move forward you must start doing things that have nothing to do with him or anyone really but yourself. Work on becoming the person you want to be going forward. I am so much rooting for you. I wish you the best and I believe in you. I know you wish you could go back and change what happened. I know how much we have in common. I want to hear you tell us some positive aspects of your new life some day, because one day there will be more positive than negative and you will be able to hold your head high and say you overcame your mistakes and this terrible time, this challenge to rebuild.
