I would have to agree with you, I find lots of love in my daughter, I don't know what I would do without her. I love my stepson as well and am finding it so difficult being so far away from him, but he is 18 years old so hopefully he will come and visit with me again really soon!!!

when I was married I was lonely. And when the kids were small and needed a lot of hands on help and attention I didn't feel as lonely. Now they don't need me so much. But don't cry for me. I'm young and in good health. I'm accepting this new chapter in my life with open arms. Trying out new things....looking for that love

as an undercurrent always - my step daughter is love in my life - she is never away from my heart even though i dont hear from her often.

the big love in my life right now is the acceptance of all that i am - being more than okay in my own skin - realizing that i am finally seeing what others have seen all along. its opened me up to more love too - its been quite a beautiful journey to me this year. :)

That's a good quote TML, but I'll tell ya, when things were going good with my xgf, right before bedtime I always felt my day was complete and there was no need to remain awake. It was such a peaceful and quick slide into slumber.

Just be careful not to lean on your kids for your own emotional needs and try to live their lives. our marriage has been brought to destruction by parents who would not deal with their issues and put them on our plate.

I am focusing on my career right now and probably becoming a work-a-holic............keeps my thoughts focused and my days off are the hardest

@Loftyc I agree, there is always the danger of living vicarious through your children...and this is also applicable when you enter a relationship you stop growing and start to live through others.

To put more, "texture" on my love for my kids id that I am filled with love and I'm busting at the seams. Everything I do with the kids I do so with the thought that I would not want to be any other place than with them....it could be taking them to practice, watching them play a sport. So many people go out and search for love, when often it's right under their noses.
