Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

Try to keep yourself cleaned and groomed, even if you don't feel like it. It does help. Mix up your clothes. Get a few new pieces - shop resell shops if you don't have extra money.
If you are tired, sleep. On your next day off, sleep all day. Nap and watch TV. Pull the covers over your head literally. Just get up the next day and move on.
My alcoholic husband isn't available to me and may never be - I've got to take care of me. Thanks for your post - reminds me to keep trying!
No one is perfect but it sounds like our men have serious issues. Serious enough, at least emotionally, for me to actually be considering a clean escape route before our relationship advances to marriage someday. Everything I read in books, articles, online literature and so on advises people to not be with an alcoholic, or some one who copes with difficult emotions with substances because of how many problems in can create. Do you plan to stay married to your husband?
I'm curious because, although I'm not married, I value and perceive marriage as a one-time forever deal for my-self unless the person cheats or dies. Much like yourself, I think I'd pretty pessimistic if I was married to my guy and he didn't actually get better from the above mentioned issues.....:(
