Please don't rush with such decisions. The very 1st thing I wanted to do was do my best not to be in the same town or country, run away far, farther, farthest possible. I am in Europe and wanted to apply for jobs in Fiji, can u believe. I am glad I didn't do it. It has been 6 1/2 years and I am coping OK. If you have a well paid job, please try and stay, please try your best to concentrate while at work regardless of how hard it is.

You are welcome. What I did instead was take up a new hobby, sign up for some interesting classes, start learning another language, just get to know other people. Maybe not start a new relationship immediately and allow enough time to get the other person out of your mind. Just my thought.

I did the same. I spent alot on cooking class and pick up German. But nothing is going in. It feels like im a zombie in class.

just give more time for yourself to think all about it. you're the only one who knows what would be the best for you. just find the deeper meaning of yourself and look for the brighter side. excelsior!

Don't make decisions like that just to get over someone. Change is good but if you like your current job and it there are possibilities of making a career and grow... I don't know your story, I don't know why you guys are not together but it does not seem, like he is too worried about making changes in his life for you. If you want to go do it because you are dying for a new experience that will benefit you and not to avoid seeing someone the do it. Otherwise learn to be happy around him, happiness is the best revenge over an ex. Again I don't know your story but if you are that hurt after all this time, it seems that you did not want to break up with him.

Yes. It seems like im the one who is not getting over it. He is living his life happily and doesnt give a dann about me. Yes. I want to live a better life than him.

I suggest seeing a counselor to find out why you're still "stuck" on the old relationship. It's not him, it's not your job, it's something inside you. Going to a new country/job/relationship/whatever can serve as a distraction, which is ok sometimes, but you seem to have some deeper-seated issues that are holding you back from healing. If you're not into seeing a therapist, at the very least I suggest an in-person breakup support group. I found it helped me tremendously to see actual people going through a similar situation. I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb, walking around with a giant L (loser) on my forehead, because I was in a failed marriage. Turns out there are probably more people struggling with their relationships than successful with them. Hearing other people's stories helped me understand that. It also helped me to put my own marriage into perspective, which helped me to move on. Good luck to you.

Maybe you could start with a different online id. Hopelessinlove sounds, well hopeless, and you are not hopeless. Struggling, yes, hopeless, no way. Positive thinking is in order here - how about formerlyhopelessinlove, healingfromlove, etc. I think that how we frame ourselves in this world can influence how successful we will be in our endeavors. The power of positive thinking, or my mantra, which was "fake it until you make it" can be used to your eventual success.
