It is easier to be in love with someone you don't have to face the day to day chores, monotony, obligations, etc. with. When put to the real test of daily life, I doubt he has anything over you. Just try to remember the brain chemicals/infatuation of the beginning. It will end up the same way. It's not you, it's her need for a "drug".

Emotional affairs are often gateway affairs leading to full blown sexual infidelity. For some of us the most hurtful and painful consequences of an emotional affair is the sense of being deceived, betrayed, and lied to.

I hope the two of you can work this out and perhaps get couselling. The fact that she has opened up to you is a bonus in this situation and it appears to be a cry for help.

Thanks all for the comments/advice. She says that it is unconditional love that she feels for him. Says she loves me also but that she just needs more. She is moving out today.

I'm sorry to hear that. I am not in the same situation but my wife is looking to seperate. Either way, it sucks. I think in your case all you can do is tell her how you feel, and if she does not want to work through it, let her go.

Just make sure you tell her that you are willing to work through this, but that if she leaves, this is strictly her decision. Often times, the "leaver" is looking to the "left" to let them off the hook. Don't do it. She has to live with her decision and so do you. If you let her off the hook you will start to believe that this is somehow your fault. I'm guessing it's not your fault, at least not all of it. Good luck bro.
