I haven't heard from her for a week. She calls and leaves a voicemail saying that I need to deposit $130 in the account because I had agreed to help her with a loan that she had (I did when I was in a weak moment a few weeks ago). It isn't in the separation agreement though. I don't want to have to pay for her stupid loan for much longer.

I am so irritated by her. She needs to be able to support herself if she is going to kick me out of my house!

Sorry, Heave. Sad when it comes down to that, ain't it? For years I suspected that I might be a wallet with legs and in the end it turned out to be true. Talk to your lawyer and make sure you are not obligating yourself to future payments if you do this and then I think you need to do what you feel is best. You might find that it is easier in the long run to pay $130 to be left alone for a little while. HUG

I don't know where she gets the idea that I should pay her money for anything. Last time I checked she got the $300,000 house that we only owe $190,000 on. I got a $35,000 boat and a $10,000 truck.

If she can't afford to go without asking me for money she shouldn't have left me

Talk to your lawyer. If it's not in the agreement, I don't think I'd pay it.

She has to learn to get along without you; she chose this path, you didn't.

We both don't have lawyers but we have done a separation agreement.

One time she mentioned alimony....She is nuts. She would never get alimony from me. We make the same amount of money, basically. I only make a little extra than she does.

I have been very nice in this whole thing. Probably because I have been wanting to get back together.

I gave her a lot and she probably ended up better than she would have if we had used lawyers. I just figured that I could pay a little more now instead of making a lawyer richer.

No way. If you pay it now she can argue to the court that you agreed to pay it on a continuing basis. You are going to ask for half the equity in the house, right? There isn't a court out there that wouldn't give you some of that if it is community property. And if she's going to mention alimony, you should throw the equity at her. I bet she'd stop asking you for money then.

I have to ask though so please don't be offended. My husbad kicked me and the kids out 1 year ago. I hadn't worked really in 7 years because I stayed home with the kids. He hasn't given me any money not even child support. He kicked us out for another woman so shouldn't he help me until I can support me and the kids? He's the one who wanted out for a 21 year old kid. I don't ask him for money even though I really need it. I'm making 2 car payments which total $600.00 a month and I'm so far in debt that I can't do it anymore. I had to move home with my kids at 33 just to finish school and try to give me and the kids a good living. Love you all and please don't be offended by this. Love you all....Ape

Okay...she just called and threatened to start a war if I don't pay her the money. She said that she would get a lawyer and make me pay alimony etc. I don't think that could happen. I don't owe her a damn thing as far as I am concerned.

Problem is that she is still holding onto my truck title and she won't cough it up until November. She wants me to pay her the $130 until November and she says that she will give me the truck title then. That is freaking blackmale.

I am going to end up paying it because I can either pay $130 a month until November or spend thousands of dollars paying for an attorney. Unfortunately the math works out in her favor
