Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
But you tried and you did what you believe to be the right thing.
back to NC
back to grieving
You will get through this....grow stronger...and find a form of peace again
even happiness
We "fall of the wagon" sometimes. And this is normal so please, dont beat yourself up about it. You have taken extraordinary steps to enforce NC again and hopefully it will be enough. Just remember, as it goes with an alcoholic, it may take more then one or two tries to make it stick.
Remember too, this is a grieving process that you must go through. There is denial, anger, bargaining, and then...at long last...acceptance. You will get there, just allow yourself the love and time to do so.
And then forwarded me this:
"Your Sins Are Not Being Recorded
Mar 27, 2015
I once read a comic book which showed how a man lusted after a woman, then died of a heart attack and went to heaven. In heaven, he saw a big screen showing everyone present a recording of all the sins which he had committed while on earth, including the last one. How embarrassing. Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.
What?! Is he telling me he is forgiving himself or that he is forgiving me for all the things he blamed me for? Either way it's the same old story with him. He's saying nothing of substance here and I refuse to read between the lines or ask any questions. If he wanted to be with me he'd make it clear through words and actions as I have done with him. He gets no response. But I have to admit I feel better than I did this time yesterday!
