I'm sure my appetite will return, I just need to do as you are and start eating healthier. The last week was hell between what was going on in my life plus an extremely busy, stressful period at work and all that definitely took its toll.
Baby steps...
I think most go through this. gave a a smokin' body. Of course, I'm relationship repellant so it doesn't do me much good. LMAO
Make sure you are getting the proper nutrition. Sudden weight loss can lead to other problems while your immune system is compromised.
Go to a doctor for a complete checkup. Tell them you are under extreme stress and you want to check everything out.
I went for my physical...she noted my drastic weight loss, and I was upfront about my personal stress, and it turned out I had a stress-induced ulcer. The stomach pains, for whatever reason, I just ignored, and I honestly didn't realize I had zero appetite.
Getting checked out is a good idea. Your physical health is just as important as any of the others.
Tonight is going to add to the stress. In about an hour, I'll go visit my granddaughter at my Ex's house. That's the only place that I get a chance to see her. Gotta keep composed...
I actually found out that the stress my ex was putting on me caused me to gain weight. Distancing myself from her was a mental as well as physical relief.
For me, depression is definitely a mental and not a physical thing. While I was depressed, I slept and ate as normal. But my ex called me a robot. I think it was because, she had drained me so much, I just didn't have any emotion left.
The most important thing for depression is to try to take care of yourself. I find the best way (and highly recommended) is to make sure you get exercise. Not all of us can go and play hours of basketball or go to the gym, but just going out and walking can work wonders. Not only do you get exercise, but you get quiet time to process things.
This phase will pass and youll gain the weight back because your body and metabolism will adjust to the decreased calories in the meantime. Once you ramp the calories back up, youll be putting those lbs back on.
