I always feel sad. But, I fight it and for that, I feel like I am scarring up my emotions. It's a good thing, though. I truly believe that you should just face your sadness and emotions, head on...
Then after some time, you can fight the sick feeling and put scar tissue on the wounded heart...

Funny you should talk about this. I did yoga today with "heart opening poses". It always amazes me what you are holding inside...and I felt like my heart was lined with scar tissue, and who would ever want that? Heck, even when it wasn't full of scar tissue, men haven't so far wanted, it so why should that change with scar tissue?

Urgh...Life.

I agree with Frank except for the adult thing part. Everyone is different in their approach to find solutions. Some take hits and they keep forging ahead.....the 'suck it up' stance who is my mother....some completely get angry and self destructive....some stay in therapy for a lifetime wondering the whys as life leaves them behind....some hide and get comfortable with the misery and blame others and situations in order not to make an effort.

Progression is the key. Please find your voice/expression and find that progress with your healing as you know, your children are taking mental notes.

I feel sad at times, but worse is loneliness... I am thankful for DS because here I laugh, I meet my friends, I can say anything I want and I get great advice. Hope with this your sadness goes away a little bit - or more - because we laugh with you, we love your posts, we enjoy your comments.

I have realized that I am always sad as well. It affects my children, my work. It can be scary, as the sadness can proliferate into a suffocating comfort zone. Crazy.

It is quite amazing to realize the power that we have to turn that around. With the simplest things.
