I know it's painful. I'm right with you. I have moments where I feel renewed and I feel the strength and hope God has given me, and at other times I feel so sad and lonely. That was actually one of our biggest issues...me feeling lonely. Married people shouldn't feel lonely and unloved, nor should they feel like they don't matter. My marriage actually ended years before I filed for divorce, the truth be told is I'm not sure we actually had a marriage, at least not the kind anyone dreams of or desires.
You and I both are going to be fine. I know it doesn't seem like it and hardly ever feels like it, but I truly believe that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and more importantly, that God doesn't give us more than we can handle.
The loneliness is what's hurting me the most. I didn't realize it at first, but it's not so much as no longer being with him as it is a feeling of everlasting loneliness. As long as I hadn't filed for divorce, I had hope that he'd one day realize and appreciate my value, but now that the divorce has been filed, I feel like I have an even longer road of loneliness ahead. I have children that love me and other family, but the loneliness I feel is more of companionship. Having intimate conversations and knowing I'm a part of a romantic relationship. Some voids can't be filled by kids and other family members.
I know life goes on and accepting that is helping me. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. I'm a firm believer in this scripture, but that doesn't mean I don't feel pain.
My advice is to do what I do...try my hardest to hold on to my faith and have some peace. God's got this for us both.
I love you as a sister in Christ and you will be in my prayers. Find comfort in knowing that time does heal all wounds and God will get you through this.
We've decided 2 happy homes are better than one miserable one. I think it'll take a few months before he actually leaves but for now gritted teeth and walking on eggshells!!
I'm here for you - please just reach out if you need me - lots of love and strength and support coming your way xxx
Ending a marriage is hard even when you're the one requesting it change is often hard, but it can end up beung what's best. Evaluate the reasons you want out. If you don't feel like you're asking or expecting too much, and if you know your reasons are not selfish, then do what you feel like you must. I looked at all of these things because I wanted go make sure I don't regret the decision later. I am here for you
1. We're allowed to cry our eyes out and feel the pain
2. We will get through it
3. Focus on one day at a time not life in 5 years time
4. A relationship shouldn't ever make you feel this bad. If we're here - it was never right.
The future is only scary If We focus on it.
So much love ladies xxx
