If it were me, and he was so "fed up", he could leave and give me the keys and I'd file for divorce.

This is just game playing and manipulation.
As to why I haven't jumped the gun into filing and asking for the key back is because I still want it to work. I'm the one to blame with my lies and manipulation and he's warned me before. I take fault in it all and am working on myself and changing for myself. On the road to recovery from my addiction
Good for you for actively working on yourself and what's not working in your life. It's essential for your well being and happiness.
We can't drag another along on our journey. They either choose to be there or not.
It's your journey, and just as he can't change or "fix" you, you can't change for him. You have to do it for yourself.
The threats, the coming and going...not conducive to healing or recovery.
Seems he has a choice- stay or go, but I would suggest a talk to put the cards on the table.
Who can live with all that upset in their environment?
Even if he comes back, will it work?
You have to let him go to make his own choices.
In my situation, it was not OK to have constant drama, and to save myself he had to go.
I can't live with the constant upset, regardless of who's "right" or who's "wrong".
You have to decide what's right for you.
