Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
My sympathy and hugs go out to you
My wife of 19 years abused me in the last year before she left me
I too suffer daily physical pain and limitations
I hope you find outside support and get out of there
2 years since she moved out...I still hurt everyday
my second marriage too
But I now have a wonderful woman who loves and appreciates me for who I am
Once you are free from him.....it will get better in time
Praying for strength and your inner peace. Stay strong.
Unfortunately, abusers rarely get better. They usually only get worse. Joint counseling with an abuser never works. It actually only works against you because the abuser learns more about you and uses it against you.
Please get into therapy with a qualified therapist who not only understands the dynamics of abuse, but also has additional training in recovery from trauma and abuse.
Do NOT tell him you are doing any of this. He WILL use it against you.
This is the number for the National DV Hotline. They can give you additional information about shelters in your area. 18007997233
