Boundries help us to determine who is responcible for what.. If we can discover who is responcible for what, we have the opportunity to change. If we see that the problem is our problem and that we are responcible for it, then we are in the driver's seat of change. For the first time we are empowered.
Responcibility also involves action: If something is going to happen, it's going to happen because we take action. We need to change some attitudes, or behaviors, reactions,or choices and actively participate in the resolution of whatever relational problem we have ...even if IT'S NOT OUR FAULT

I really don't trust words without actions, or for that matter, actions without words.
Words are just too easy to say. Too easy to misunderstand. Too easy to confuse someone else with, etc, etc. But actions alone, don't tell you the heart of the person doing them.... Complicated, yet simple. I've learned to trust my gut.
Taking responsibility is all well and good, just take care that it's warranted.
