Real Conversation... About us..

Today my ex came over to visit with the kids and on the last 3 visits we have all spent the time together instead of me not hanging around at all. And today went really well he stayed over way into the night. But tonight when I left and went to my room he followed me and we had a really decent conversation about where he thinks he should be andnwhere he really wants to be. Idk how it came up but it was nice to finally hear a clear answer on what it is that he is feeling. I am sure that nothing will happen over night but he plans to keep his visit up like he has been doing 3 times a week and then he said he would like to start making them daily. So I am delighted with the idea that with some time and hopefully I can get him to go to some therapy with us that things could be looking up! God may decide to just save our family! I want to really cry right now because we have been through a lot and I have really been trying to convince myself to throw in the towel with our relationship! But God showed up tonight and gave me hope! Thank you all for being here for me this group truly holds me together...

I really want to say keep your hopes up!... But on the other hand, hope is a dangerous thing. Me and my husband are trying to figure things out at the moment and the last few times that we have spent time together he has been really affectioned and made me think my marriage was out of the hoods... is not, today we chat for a little bit and he still doesn't know what he wants or if he is gonna come back home... My hopes were quite high and when it dropped right down, it hurt.
BUT... God is mighty! And I pray every day for me, my daughter and my husband. And even sometimes it difficult for me to accept that God might have a different plan for my family, I know for sure he wants the best for me and my daughter... Sometimes what we want is not what we need...

Yes @Karen_31 that is exactly how I have been feeling! Very hopeful and then I start to question everything because I just don't know. But I love him and my kids love him and he has been spending everyday with us lately. And he reassures me that he loves me just as much too! But why do I still question everything then? I just stay praying and asking God to Bless us and either way to make it okay for my 4 children and myself. I know I truly want my family to comeback together but at the same time I just keep wondering if I am being foolish... Maybe if I wasn't stuck in this body and I could move around I could figure out exactly where my feelings and key mind meet up... I love him and my family I just want this insecurity to go away!

yes, this is showing results times and times again..when conflicts is on and your life is at stakes, communication , open communication really help. but it's a delicate balance. it needs to be at the right time and right place. you cant communicate if one if you is not open to listen or is already made up his/her mind. you are luckly to have that chance and seized it. not all of people have it.

Thank you all so much I really needed to hear all of your point of views on this situation. And now that he has started to come back around and we are talking it has been a lot better on all of us. He has started to come by on a daily basis and he is back to being very hands on and helpful with our childrens day to day activities. And I am just taking my situation one day at a time with him... Hopefully our family will become stronger and back together again. But if it doesn't I hope we can at least end it on beter terms because we are being open and honest now. I know that he does love me and our children and that we matter the most to him. But we both can still agree that working on ourselves and slowly building our life back together is the best path... And NY therapist completely agrees with me also... Thank you guys so much for the encouragement! I needed the reassurance from people who can relate to what I am going through!
