I had some sad moments after my wife left w/o warning, still do at times. When you begin to realize that sinking emotion into a situation you can't change is only hurting YOU, then healing will start.
Humanity in general is not responsible for your hurt, your spouse is. I could never blame the world for my lying, unfaithful stooge of a wife that chose sleaze over God's way. I grieved for a while. and then began to realize our marriage was only a brief respite for her on the road back to shack up city.

Yes I have had those days on and off for the last few weeks. I have prayed nightly for healing of my heart break and reached out to people in my inner circle to not fall further into the hole. My brain knows it is time to move onward and upward and it’s part of my path just like the last 20 years but this is a very selfish person at other end and not the right person to be in my life. I loved him to the end and still needed to grieve and with help and time I will achieve both. I choice not to let him steal any more of my happiness

At one point near the end, yes, I did. I believe those tears are what also helped me to start to heal those same wounds. I'm sorry you are hurting. It takes time to heal from any kind of a loss, allow yourself how ever long it takes. My prayer is you'll be able to keep the beauty and the good and heal from the rest. Hugs and prayers from Texas

It sounds like you are still with him? I found myself crying all the time over my spouse and now that he is gone i realize that that is not normal and it’s not ok. No one should make you feel like that. It is emotional abuse and as horrible as it is to end a marriage you will feel better with the chaos and toxicity gone. I am still sad and lonely sometimes but I feel normal and free. Find your inner strength and do not let him have that power over you anymore. Easier said than done but you can do it!

Yes I cry every day, the pain in my heart and my mind. sometimes it’s the simple things like; How all of a sudden you go form someone texting you almost every hour while they are at work for 6 years to then almost overnight not even caring that you’ve got home safe on a 3hr journey in the snow... I just wanna text ‘back safe and oh yeah you don’t give a f**k’ .... this is very fresh for me just over a month, I am working on me and hopefully I will get stronger... thanks for sharing it’s nice to know i’m not alone at this as it can feel x

I have been seperated for 3 months and it has been a very sad and lonely time. I believe that this is ok to cry - we need to grieve for what is lost and it helps with the healing process. Just take it one day at a time and know that this time shall too pass and open a new chapter in you life. Sending you big hugs x

I'm going through a divorce after 30 years of emotional, verbal and physical abuse. Even though I know I am better off I still feel the stabbing pain of being rejected and abandoned by my former spouse and my own adult children, my daughter especially. I hung in there for my kids and forgot about my own needs until I was finally forced to face it that I was the only one trying to hang on. My son is supportive of me, but I it all still hurts. It's been a lonely path.
