I have told most of my friends. While I was in court today I talked to a bunch of lawyer friends of mine. THey knew my wife before she changed so much. They couldn't believe the way that she was acting and they said that she isn't the person that they knew. It was nice to know that other people were saying the same thing that I have come to believe. She has lost her mind!
C'est la vie! I have already burried my old self and my hurt. Now I see the new horizon. I know that if I keep sailing in the direction I am going I will see land in sight someday.
I have a party to go to tonight. A friend of mine that I work with is turning 25. SHould be fun. It is just nice to not be avoiding things like that because the wife doesn't want to go (I never went to social functions without her because I felt that it was wrong).
I have held fast, weathered the storm, and made it through. I may have had to reef the sails and I may have taken some licks along the way, but I made it through the eye of the storm and the end is near.
I told him that he lied before God, me and both of our families when he promised to love, honor and cherish me until DEATH do us part. That will be on him and he gets to tell our daughter why he left when she gets older.
The real reason and I believe this in my heart is that he is 10 yrs younger than me and has always mentioned that he missed out on so many things that I got to do. Yeah he basically wants to get laid. Well I hope he enjoys it because he is losing the best thing to happen to him just like you said Heavetoo I am unique and he will never find someone like me again.
Nice to see that some clarity and closure is coming into your life. You have held fast, stood tall, defended yourself and come out ahead. She will be one of those people (like my stbx) who will look back one day and say, "Wow, I threw away a good person." I think these people never truly find happiness, but you can.
You have made great strides in the last week or so--isn't it amazing when that moment arrives? It's like someone suddenly turned on the light and helped you find your way out of the dark room. Proud of you.
Go to the party and get yourself back out there. It's a birthday party for your friend; it's independence day for you. Have a great time.
Im with Kathy, Im glad she finally got off her ass and made her decision. Now you can move forward.. no more limbo at least.
You have made great strides in a short amount of time and you should be proud of yourself.
You can move on now and find someone who deserves all of the things that you have to offer.
