Ive joined DS for a few weeks now (since my break-up) but havent really posted something. I just read the others posts.
Today is just another day, like every other day, Im living through this period of self-recovery. I guess my time schedule will take a few more months.
My break-up with him wasnt the 1st time, but this time its defenite.
Im surprised myself about how fast I am being recovered. Only crying 1 week, then the next week, I read the novel Where the rainbow ends and also found DS. I decided that my pains have to stop. And from the 3rd week, I dont feel hurt anymore, though Im still think about him everyday.
He was back from his vacation, then called me right the moment he arrived to the city. I talked to him in the most friendly way that I could. I didnt even mention to meet him. I thought he must have been very surprised. I was like a crazy girl right after the break-up. But only a few weeks later, Im a completely different person. And then during the week, he called me quite often. I was always friendly. But I never called him back. I know, he loves me, but hes no longer in love with me. I understand its meaning when I read the post I love you but Im not in love with you.
I have read many many posts on DS about abusive relationship. Mine was on and off. It was unhealthy. I pulled myself out after 1 year and a half. And now I repeat over and over again in my head about several situations that I read on this site, and understand that I almost risk that kind of relationship, imagine situations where I will arrive to the point that he will lie, cheat, make excuse and accuse me for his actions; while I will cry, apologize, excuse him, and live in false dreams of future happiness
Im still thinking about him every moment Im awake. But I tell myself also: Id rather be alone than loose any year of my life for that kind of relationship. People here on this site lost 5 years, 10 years, 15 years or 30 years I have to thank you for sharing your stories, so that I learn a lot.
I still miss him. Its two days since his last call. I still look at my cell phone every now and then, half waiting for his call to relieve my self-esteem, half praying he wont call any more so that I can be open to other men.
I dont want to tell him to stop calling, because if I do, hell know that I still care, while Im playing to be cool, pretend that Im totally fine whether he is in or out of my life. All I can do is not to make any action toward him. So he will eventually stop contacting me one day.

I think if you settle for less, you end up with less..and feel like less....

Though he has a lot of friends, but I'm still the person he trust the most in this whole country. He wants to share with me his deepest thoughts, his career plan..., even now after the break-up, because he knows I won't tell anyone.
But I know that: one day he'll have a new girlfriend and she'll replace my place in his life. He will no longer need me. And mostly, I don't want to live a relationship when "his" and "him" always come first. I want to be "ours" and "us".
So, I'm really done with him though I'm so very nervous. Right now I just have to deal with this rollercoaster while keep my smile on.
