Doesn't he have his own pension?
I would tell the attorney when he signed the letter & if it was before or after the date of marriage as well as when you started your pension (i.e. before or after you married). In the U.S. these things could make a difference.

Its not fair - he did sign it after we were married because we were having a debate about money - he did it voluntarily
My lawyer IS good - im just hoping good enough
I'm not an attorney, but I would definitely your attorney if you can use his lack of paying child support as leverage to keep your entire pension.
