I joined this group back in October of 09 when my ex and I decided to end our marriage of twenty one years. It was one of the darkest times of my life. I had to live with my ex for the next four months until I could afford to move out and away from him. Had it not been for this group and the wonderful people here, I probably would have lost my mind. Yesterday was my one year anniveresary when I moved from Utah back to California where I am from. What a difference a year makes! I now love my life and am greateful for all of the blessings I have been given. I wanted to share my story in the hope it will encourage you to know you will move through the darkness you may be in now into the light where you will find joy and happiness again. My Aunt taught me an old saying with a little twist "when God closes one door he opens another door but the hall way is a bitch". Walk through the hall way my friends and never give up on yourselves!

i LOVE it! i am so thrilled to hear about this for you- i feel the same way. can you imagine all of us walking around in this pain alone without having this board? i would have needed a padded room. i am glad things are going so well for you. i am at my halfway mark almost and am thinking of throwing a parade at the year mark. the hall way is a bitch- im decorating my hall way with new pictures and memories- its nice to know thereis still hope. thanks for sharing. xoxo

They say we learn in retrospect. My life right now is one question after another. I don't know the answers.

It's good to know the door that opens is better then what you left behind.

Thank you for this, I truly enjoy hearing stories like this, makes me hopeful that yes indeed it will get better cause right now, I don't even know if I have gotten past the door jam. I am not looking forward to the hallway but I know I have to walk down that hall in order to get to the other door.
