I sat in Chuck E Cheese tonight with a woman I know and cried. As we sat there, our children, her 8 yr old girl, and my 7 yr old gilr and 4 yr old boy, ran around having the time of their lives. You see, my little girl calls her little girl BFF: Best Friends Forever.
We cried because yesterday, she found out her little girl has a fungus growing on her lungs and needs an operation for this. If the fungus gets into her bloodstream, she would die. The operation will happen, and will happen within the next three months. My friend has confided in me this because she has no one else to talk to. Her mother is very ill and her husband, well, he is there, but not whole-heartidly. Thats another story all in itself.
After this operation, they cannot go back to the house they are living in now. It is old and very moldy. Apparently, the husband was told about the mold three yrs ago and told my friend all was taken care of. NOT! She said there is so much mold in the house, its sick. This is also why the girl is so ill.
Im so sad and want to help them in any way shape or form. They already have medical bills from other ops this little girl has had, and from her older daughters heart problem.
I just wanted you all to know this. I dont know why, I guess its because I have no one to turn to about this. You are my friends and family and I need a hug and any suggestions to help my friends and my daughters BFF.

I hope she can forgive her daughter's father. I would have a hard time with it. Thinking of all of you.
The local paper where he lived did a huge story on it....turns out his medical coverage for the child reimbused him for the out of pocket costs and the homeowners insurance covered the "scouring" of the foundation.
This is a growing problem I will keep them in my prayers for you.
My uncle had an Aspergillus infection in his lung which is what I am assuming your friends daughter has. He didn't survive but he was older. With a young lung it has a far better survival rate. Plus she could always be a candidate for a transplant if she is healthy otherwise.
