I have just spent the past 20 minutes or so, looking out my office window. My window is directly above the entrance to this professional building. There are several medical and financial practices here ranging from plastic surgeons to accounting firms. I have seen parents with small children, patients with injuries, pharmaceutical sales reps, who appear to have been hired strictly for their looks, business men and women on their lunch breaks, etc...
What hit me as I stared at these people going in and out of this building, is that they all have their own stories to tell. Everyone has a story. I don't know if these people are the victims of abuse, if they are happy, single, divorced, or whatever. I just know they have a story to tell.
Sometimes it helps me to get outside of myself and experience the world around me. This process I have been through with my wife has taken a toll on me. It has caused isolation, sadness, anger, fear and just about every emotion I can imagine. But I'm not alone. Everyone has a story. I have a pee-pee...

slacks? no, that just reminds me of my gramma's polyester pants in the 70's...
but, do you say purse or pocketbook...? It think that's a regional thing too - kinda like soda or pop
sometimes I just say pursabook to confuse people
And Rman everybody has a story and sometimes it hurts to hear another person's story - but it does take you out of your own problems for a minute.
I'm gonna ask her to marry me...
I find that difficult in the land of ME-ME-ME sunny southern CA. The self-involvement of the people here does not lend to interesting stories. Just ask the OC Housewives.
Unlike most of m friends here, my girls are real and they are fantastic.
