The other day I asked who has been on V.

Well, my mind got to working again, and thought,

Who has ever WON anything?

I have won lots of stuff. Concert tickets, $500, radio contests.

But the best prize I ever won was by a radio contest. I was in the "pot" with 100 other finalist, and they picked my name! It was the most exciting moment of my life. (except the kids being born, of course!)

So, what did I win? A trip to Hawaii! Airfare, hotel and rental car! How cool was that?

Anybody else want to share?

I won a basket of cheer once (about 20 bottles of wine) and another time I won a Shotgun. I traded the shotgun in on the purchase of a competition AR-15. Yeah I'm a strange chick!

When i had my trucking business, many years ago, I had a tire shop I did alot of business with. They always brought a pig in each year and had a contest where you guessed what it's weight would be on a certain day (pounds & ounces). Yep, one year I won a pig! It came butchered. I traded most of it for my rent. I was only one person then, and on the road quite a bit, and so couldn't possibly have eaten it all! now I am mostly a non-meat eater, so the thought kind of repulses me, but it was a gret deal of fun back then to be a winner!

Just prior to that time, I was driving truck for someone else and was a Teamster member. I was also a member of TDU (Teamsters for a Democratic Union, oh that takes me back in time to my rebellious political days, lol, TDU was kinda dangerous to be in back then) and I won a small TV in a raffle at a big meeting, whoo hoo!

No worries, I have a shotgun with a folding stock and double pistol grips, plus two revolvers (one is in the shop, my fave, my Ruger GP100). When I was in law school, I was a member of the politically incorrect and much-maligned "2nd Amendment Club" -- we used to take Uniform Commercial Codes out to the woods and blow them up with ammo puchased with Student Body funds, the tree-huggers HATED us (I went to a top environmental law school, lol). Actually, target shooting is like my fave form of meditation -- you can't hit center of mass if you are not compeletely focused with everything else out of your mind. I love firearms!!! And my ex knows it, which is probably why I don't worry too much about him "surprising" me in this house!

I only like target shooting, my son used to win the turkey shoot every year...NO they didn't shoot turkey's. They shot at targets and the person who had the highest score won the turkey. I was so proud, he'd always donate the turkey to the women's shelter in town!

Wow Anne, I'm impressed! don't be afraid diemjs. Target shooters really just make holes in paper, most of us couldn't shoot anything that draws breath.

I have a destructive side, for sure. My brother who is two years younger than me taught me everything I know about blowing stuff up. And we used to go in to the orchards and play baseball with oranges and other fruits. And I am quite expert with a crowbar, I will have you know, quite skilled indeed. A chain saw in my hands makes me happy, as does an axe. Of course, a side effect of this is that I am well-known for not being able to open anything w/o destroying it (cereal boxes, lotion dispensers, water bottles, you name it, I destroy it).

Hmmmmm.... maybe this is the real reason I am divorced?
