It's not a pirate song, but cool none the less.
After the battle of Traffilgar (sorry but the spelling is off on that) Lord Nelson had been killed in action though his fleet was successful (Lord Nelson is a very famous British Admiral). To preserve his body his crew put him in a barrell of rum for the jorney back home. During the journey back home the crew got low on rum so some sailors started drinking out of the barrell that Lord Nelson's body was in. Since that day sailors refer to rum as "A Drop Of Nelson's Blood"
