Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Glad to hear it.
May I ask you a question... how did you find the will to just seperate for the time being?
My wife is not happy with the life she is currently living although it’s been on and off for 3 years now.
She told me the other night that she isn’t happy again. She is going away next weekend and said if she goes isnthat it for us??? Ugh....
we tried a 3 month separation earlier this year....looks like we are in one again.... something just doesn’t allow me to say I want a divorce even after all the crap she has put me through.
Thanks.
"lets go ahead and take this step. He needs help and he needs to be held accountable for his behavior and this does not mean that your marriage is over. This could be what he needs to be a wake up call." So with such agony and despair she walked me over to the clerks office and held my hand while i filed a restraining order on my husband. It was the HARDEST decision i have ever had to make but i knew in my heart that it needed to be done. I have begged, cried and pleaded with my husband to get help. On many occasions where he felt we needed to separate even knowing how volatile things were i begged him to stay. So he knows full well that i have sacrificed so much of myself to be with him and maybe now God willing he will realize that unless he gets help i will not continue down this path. I told my therapist today that i am not ready for a divorce but at least this way there is distance between us. I would wait forever for my husband if i knew he would come back to me as the man i fell in love with. I know all too well and ask myself the same thing about what compells me to hold on after everything he has put me through. The only thing i keep coming back to is that i deeply love him and i will fight to the bitter end to have my husband back. But i will not live with him until i see some real attempt on his part to mend what he has broke. Please feel free to reach out and know that you are not alone. All of us here seem to be going through heartache and i dont know about you but the kind words and encouragement and being able to share with those people here are so very helpful to me.
