So after having a really rough week last week I was starting to finally feel a little better. Went back to my childhood home this weekend and let my dad and stepmom spoil me...it was wonderful! I came home from their house yesterday and started looking forward to the future.
I signed up to cook and serve Thanksgiving dinner to those less fortunate (Operation Turkey - they need volunteers in cities across the US) and registered for my first 5k run the first weekend in December.
Then today BAM! My office voicemail was telling me that I needed to delete some old messages to make room for new ones. And guess what?? The very first voicemail was from my ex. He was telling me that he was leaving the office at noon for a couple of meetings downtown and was going to get a haircut. And of course he called me his pet name for me and told me how much he loved me. I decided to listen to the message one more time and then it hit me! The beginning of the voicemail said the date and time.
April 15th...the OW birthday. And then my mind spun back to her Facebook page and the post/pic she had about spending time with my hubby on her birthday and the diamond bracelet he bought her. Meetings downtown my ass!! And then it happened...almost back at square one again :(

Regardless, I'm glad you had a great weekend with your family. Sometimes all we need is to feel valued and loved. Those visits can be like a shot in the arm. :)

I agree, you can't let this man have your heart again. You want to become a strong woman (just short of kicking his butt), and take no nonsense off him.
And I did delete this and other voicemails from him...I didn't even listen to them.
I knew about the diamond bracelet after the fact (months later when he left me for her and I looked at her FB page). Her family and friends actually know she was sleeping with a married man...she bragged about it on FB!
I figure they are perfect for each other!
