I decided yesterday to file for a divorce today when I go see my lawyer. I am tired of this emotional roller coaster.

So, I text my stbx and asked him one more time if this is what he really wants, for me to start proceedings today, and he said yes. Just yes. Nothing else. Yes.

So fellow DSers, I am going to my lawyer at 3:30 p.m. and am going to ask her to start the divorce. I know here in MD, you are supossed to wait a yr before you can file, but I am going to see if we cant speed that up.

I know in my heart my marraige is over, but as you all know, it still hurts. Hurts like hell.
I also know, if I dont get this over with, I will crumble. If its over, let it be over.

Please keep me in your thoughts today. I need to stay strong!

Our personal strength wavers at times. You have found some clarity. The situation is now what you want but you see what it is that you need to do. You say, "if I dont get this over with, I will crumble," but I don't think that is true. If you don't get this over it will feel overwhelmingly sad and difficult but we don't die from sadness. That would give the jerks too much satisfaction! I hope that you can stay strong and love yourself.

No, you didn't do anything wrong!!! ;-)
All were probably busy with this thing we call "life" when you posted! You are still loved at DS!
That said,,, I still stand by my original statement to you! I would have let him be the one to file! He is the one to want it so badly!
I am still with you though!
