I have my first appearance in court tomorrow. Its an emergency child support hearing. Im nervous as hell.

I dont want to hurt him any more. Things will come up that I know he doesnt want to come up. I just have to remember, he made his bed, and now Im making it. Its not my fault! Its not my fault! Its not my fault! (I feel like Dorothy!)

The other thing is, I know he will be mad as hell if and when they do come up. I know he wouldnt hurt me physically, but Im just tired of the crap.

So, if that makes any sense, good.

Please keep me in your thoughts tomorrow. Court is early in the a.m., so I wont be on here until after noon.

He not only made his bed, he refuses toaccept responsibility for it. This is a "man" that bounced hundreds of checks, and has not supported his kids. He has a crazy psycho gf that thinks threatening you is ok. Don't feel sorry if the truth comes out..one eyed deserves it all.

I wish you best of luck Diemjs! Like you pretty much said, he made his bed, now he has to lie in it. I totally understand that it's not what you wanted to do but what you must do in order to protect yourself. Best of luck tomorrow! Hugs!

You know what has to be done and you'll go do it. I'm here as well as the rest of us. The night before court sucks but you have a whole bunch of us standing with you. Don't forget that. You'll be fine because he's a scmuck.

Court is really no big deal. I was so scared the first time too. You walk into a very small room not much bigger than a very large bedroom. There's the couple and their attorney that go before you and maybe the couple and their attorney that go after you.

You most likely won't say a word. Nothing can be brought up but for the reason you are there. At least that's how it is in Illinois. Good luck tomorrow. If you have a camera phone, don't bring it in. They will send you back to your car. That could be quite a walk. Also, get there early. The lines are long where I live. I've waited 30 minutes to get through security and I've gotten through in 10 seconds. You never know what is going to happen.

sld, I live in such a small town, I have to go to another town for the courthouse! The county seat, you would say.

So, lines, and security are not a problem here. But I will get there early so I can smoke at least a pack before I go in!!!!!

Best wishes to you...Do what you have to do, and don't worry about him. Don't even look at him. Thats what I did for my emergency support hearing. Had to bring up a ton of bad issues too. And if he addresses you directly, don't respond to him unless you are on the stand. That what my lawyer said when my stbx started to lose his temper and talked to directly to me.
