I have been through a year my health issues with a fiance that has stood by my side. I have stood by my fiance's side through his year of financial issues. The finances are at an extremely slow and painful recovery which is to be quite honest a big part of our fighting. They say finances will ruin marriages, I am beginning to wonder if finances will ruin our engagement.
When we fight its about my 'bad/poor/negative attitude' but what he doesn't realize is, it's my stress knowing our finances. He keeps telling me that he's not talking to me anymore about it but I can't help but worry and stress.
Now it has gotten to the point that he just doesn't want to talk or be around me. When he gets calls from strangers or female friends, he has more excitement in his voice. He has meetings and travels that he does not talk to me about. If I bring it up he brushes me aside because it's business and he's doing what he has to do.
A part of me doesn't care anymore. I would rather end the relationship then keep going on hurting and wondering if he is going to cheat. I know its my abandonment issues but he is not making it easy for me. He blames me for things that I have no control over. Has stopped apologizing for things he did wrong or saying mean things. So I do find myself reverting to this shell of a person that I am not.
I have friends that said they would take me in and give me a job to get back on my feet. I have a male friend that lives in my old hometown that I could stay with until I get back on my feet.
A HUGE part of me wants to run right now. Another part of me wants to work things out. I'm just tired, exhausted, feeling defeated.
Finances are always going to be an issue, but if you have major disagreements on how it should be handled, you are better off not merging your fincnaces tougher right now.
Do you either of you have a place to go, someone to stay with other than a guy or a woman friend ?
Same sex friend would be better
It's always his way of making it seem like I choose this and not that he pushed me or has put me in this situation.
I'm just stressing about back owed taxes (since 2016) and bills he said he would cover (because it's his responsibility for money I took out for him). He comes up with comments like "I told you to work when you moved in'... as if that is an excuse for why he hasn't paid my taxes.
I've never been one to have debt. To be with someone who doesn't care bothers me to the point I am getting physically sick.
I have texted and called him today with no response from him at all. Also found text between him and others telling them "I'm over my fiance.' Another email he said he's having 'issues with his relationship'. The person said they were 'sorry to hear that'. His response was 'ehh. Anyway let's talk about IT work.'
