I know this is terrible.... But I have to let it out. A big fear of mine (and the only thing that made me really keep trying with STBX) is that my parents will die without ever having grandchildren.
I am the youngest of three... and the accident.. Mom was 36 and already had a 12 and 9 yr old...
Anyways, neither of my siblings are in a relationship (or care to be).
My parents are older now.... 66 and 61. I know they are not knocking on deaths door or anything but seriously if 72 is an average life-span I am running out of time. I know my eggs will be viable for years but I want my parents to hold a little baby again. My mom freaks everytime she sees one and my dad has just started spoiling the family cat. (I am sensing a void.
Even if they live to be 100 I want them to be able to enjoy it... My mom will probly be in a wheelchair soon and my dad's family has a history of stroke.
I have been racked with guilt over this. It's actually the first thing I said after I told my mom about the pending divorce. "I am so sorry I didnt have kids!"
Am I nuts?

You know thousands of people have children every year by themselves. It's just a thought.
I will probably Not be a grandmother, no matter how badly I wanted to be one and dreamed of it.
I will NOT be sharing my disappointment with my Children. There is enough pain in this world without adding a drop more to it.
And NM... I cant afford it. I have no idea how I am going to afford myself. lol.
