So this weekend I asked him to get his belongings and to move out. he said he would this week. On previous breakups, I would get home at 7 pm and he gets off at 0530 pm and and a lot of his stuff would be gone. So that's what I was expecting. But none of his stuff was gone. I mean none of it!!!!!! But he mowed my lawn. and I had this nightstand in my bedroom that I didn't want and I tried taking it to the curb but it was too heavy so I left it in the side yard two months ago. He moved it to the curb for trashpick up yesterday. Weird, huh. I also woke up this morning to a text message that he sent at 9 pm that said he missed me and the baby and good night.

I think he is trying to weasle his way back into my good graces. Do you know he actually bought me flowers after this weekend? He's never ever ever given me as much as a flower from the yard much less roses in the 5 years we've been together. These were grocery store carnations. They went in the trash. Too little too late, if you ask me.

Good for you, I say. You seem much too smart, independent and attractive to find yourself at his beck and call. My experience has been that if someone shows a lack of CHARACTER, which he has, they are not going to develop good character in 3 days or even 3 months. Stay strong and move on! I would only turn back if there was overwhelming proof of a heart change on his part. Life experience says highly doubtful but one can hope! Best of luck to you and your precious baby.

Flowers, mowing the lawn, carrying the nightstand, all of a sudden he's the worlds best husband lol. Amazing how that happens huh?
After reading your first post I think this clown has shown his true colors for many years. Nobody changes in 3 days, especially the shitstorm he threw your way. I'm really sorry for you and your kids, I hope it all works out for you, but I believe you've wasted enough time with him, you deserve much better. Take care

Sorry to hear you are going through this situation. When I come to a cross roads or tough decision, my inkling is to pray about it. Not sure if you are a praying person though. It gives me clarity and peace of mind when wrestling through stuff like this. Praying for ya!

I'd say your instincts are right on, sounds like he's trying to be Superman to try to win you over. My stbxh did that too, he's trying that again now, actually. Funny how that good behavior never lasts long, and so sad that they think it can erase the past. Stay strong, best wishes to you and your baby

I think he is trying to smooth things over, but they will go back to the way they were. That has always been my experience. People don't change that quickly. Be strong and keep your focus on the pain you have been through over the last several years. Don't let his niceness pull you back in.
