So sorry that you are having to go through all this. I know it doesn't seem like it but there will come a time when you'll feel better about this all and especially without his lying and negativity in your life. Its all about those kids now and trying to find happiness for yourself without him.

Wish I knew how to do that...I don't even know where to begin to find myself anymore.

Oh -- this is so very overwhelming at first and hard. Especially with young ones. I feel for you as mine are teens now and the time demands just different.

You can do this. It won't be easy. It's day by day and step by step. I've found that DS has been an immense support to me since this blew wide open in late April. Use DS, if you've friends -- that are further away -- give them a call. Get involved in something, anything that gets you out with other folks at least weekly. Easy to say I know but hard to do. If chlidcare is tough -- even getting the kids to the park on a schedule when there are other folks there can help. Sometimes folks do this through their churches, or a particular interest or hobby. Rebuilding a support network is hard -- I just moved here now a year ago and I don't have friends here but am using a network for support that is far away. Hang in there and many hugs.

((llmt)) Focus on just one thing at a time. Looking at the whole picture can be overwhelming. You can do this.

Nova makes an important point. Stop yourself from allowing your thoughts to snowball....You will accomplish nothing and drive yourself over the edge. One little thing at a time. Even simple things like eating, or walking around the block are accomplishments at this point. Little by little.

Sometimes it seems like the world is closing in on you and you dont know what to do. Ive felt that way.But you need to keep your chin up and go on. you have little ones to think of and you are. But you have to help yourself first.Do whats right for you then you can help them.I pray alot, it helps.

One thing that might help give your husband a reality check is to view the DivorceCare videos alone or with you. This will outline the excruciating pain of divorce and separation and impact on the children.

If you have had enough of him, then the sooner the begin the separation process the sooner you will be over it. CAUTION: This can take years for most people.

I hate to see children caught up in this. I stayed in my marriage for over 20 years after I knew it was over. I did this for the children. I hoped that somehow we could work it out.

I know you probably won't believe this, but I know how you feel. When my stbx first told me he wanted to leave, that he no longer loved me...then I found out he was cheating on me...I didn't want our daughter anywhere near him. I didn't think he deserved to have her in his life. It has been a year and 1/2 now and I have come to a point of forgiveness. I have had to forgive him for my sake (and sanity) and especially for my daughter's sake. I have never said a bad word about him to my daughter (even though he has lied and cheated). She loves him. He is good to her. I bite my tongue and suck it up. It's not easy, but it is the right thing to do. I don't have any single friends or people to talk to who understand what I'm going through either. I can only tell you to be kind to yourself. Know that it is ok for you to feel all that you are feeling...allow it. And then get on with it. One day at a time. HUGS to you!

It is daunting to say the least...but YOU CAN DO THIS! Take a step back (for just a minute)...you had a life BEFORE him, right? Remember that....now tweak it a little to where kids are involved now. You are a strong woman, capable of doing ANYTHING on your own. Yes, he will be in their life, but you will both (in time) find a balance. Right now you are hurting....so give yourself that rite! You can do this. Take one step at a time. If you have not spoken to an attorney yet, please do. I read your journal. If he can lie to you while in marriage counseling, there's no end to the lying he will do. Don't assume he'll be a nice guy during the divorce.

I know you are sad right now, but please know there are many of us who have survived divorce and are thriving!
