Hi my husband gave up on our marriage. It was shock and unexpected. We fought on the phone 2 months ago, left home and slept in the car before return home the next day. He'd never communicate with me that the incident ate him up. I felt he distance from me for the past couple months and have been asking what went wrong and I never got the answer. I have a very bad year with a lot of problem and when he push me on the phone, I couldn't control it. I am aware now that it was awful to hurt his feeling but it is too late. I don't have a job yet so he allows me to stay with him as long as I want before move on and consult with therapist how to move on. We will keep the same routine to sleep in the same bed go hangout places, camping and bag packing. Before this incident are relationship is fine. We got along well with most same interest and believe and we always have each other back. He said he forgive me but did not in love with me anymore. So much pain. I regreat it but no chance for me anymore.

You made a mistake. Go to the therapist and try to make yourself better and heal. You'll need your strength to get back to work abs for whatever lies ahead.

There is something wrong with him, NOT you. That is such a BS line about not being in love anymore. Keeping a marriage strong is hard work. What he's really saying is that he is hurt but he doesn't want to take the steps to repair it. He is retaliating by hurting you the only way he knows...leaving. He is looking for a way out, without addressing the core issues. If there are kids in the picture, I would work like hell to save the marriage, as it sounds like you had a good marriage for the most part.

I'm going through the exact same thing. My husband shut down on me BC he says my words are harsh and that I don't put out for him enough basically.

Keeping a marriage strong is hard work when only one person wants it to work. Communication is to me, the key to a marriage That's how you work through your problem. You can work on anything if there is no communication. In my situation, I was the only one willing to talk. She was always gone. I wouldn't worry about that one phone fight. There could be more going on. When I was catching on to my ex and questioned her she would get angry and fight with me. I find out later she was already having an affair. Now that I know, everything that happened in the past make sense to me

I think a lot of us are in the same shoes as you. Not one bad incident for me but my husband gave up on the marriage. He does not want to work on it so we are done.

Thank you all for the comments. It means a lot and I really appreciated. I misses typing the incident was we arguing on the phone and I damaged the phone left a note "leave me the fuck alon" I couldn't handle our conversation because I've just lost 3 people that I love within 45 days. I was all the way to broken down, if you read the past my posts cried for help in this website before, you will have more idea how frudstraded I was. I am truly now aware of what I did and I am excited to working on myself for good. The issue of him leaving is different issue. Throughout the marriage I am checking things between us by asking and it wasn't any tricker. Within the last 2 months I heard him say that I always complain. Yes, I did complain about his lost interest to do something fun together and addicted to the phone which he excepted. I marriage him because I don't want BS and we always said to each other if someday one of us very bad, we are going to work thing out and stick together no matter what and now non of that true. I don't have an anger toward anything, I try to control my emotion but sadness with disbelief is so hurt. The situation in the house very normal, he is very sweet for me and we do normal things, go get grocery, and cook. We are going on a road trip tomorrow for a day. However, it's very strong and clear that I am on the way out and he doesn't care if it take 8 month from now. So easy to give up. I'd be kind to have someone to listen to me as don't have friend to talk to at all. I came from outside the us. Thank you!
