Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
As long as they are going to visit with their dad, try not to poison that experience.
I'm not telling you that you have to like being away from your kids. But that is your issue, not theirs. Two parents is better than just one--presuming decent parents.
The "for better or worse" comment? I totally agree. For me 9 of 10 years was the better. Last year went to trash can when was supposed to be there for the worst.
As long as the kids are happy to see their Dad and happy to come back to you then your are doing good by them. They will adapt as heartbreaking as may be.
And as mentioned before there will come a time where you will enjoy kid free personal time. Good luck to you in your challenge!
If stbx can be involved and have (hate this word) "quality" time with the kids, then be thankful. Think of it as a great adventure for them. Hopefully, he can treat it as the same. But I know the feeling of loss you're experiencing, it's brutal.
