Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

Emotions all over the place is normal. Do you have a counselor to talk to? Trusted friend...maybe a support group like Divorce Care?
This is all so fresh and new to me, that is why I feel alone and hopeless.
By the way, thank you for the response and hugs!!
We both are in the same position. I turned 40 back in April. Have 2 kids, and am now living away from them. I served my wife with papers. Though I have asked to try to work things out. (Not happening). Suffice to say life changes. It is a new chapter for you, and you will be experiencing changes from what you are used to. I find it's these changes that are hardest to get used to.
In the absence of support groups we have a very supportive group here. Feel free to ask questions, and vent.
The lawyer is something you may want to invest in, to be sure you get your fair share. And seeking a counselor like Misred suggested is wise.
I am sorry you are here, but welcome.
I have accepted the changes, but know that it's going to be a long hard road ahead of me.
As far as a lawyer, she wants to settle this peacefully and do an uncontested divorce. I don't know...
Its good that you can still talk through this difficult times but don't get blindsided into accepting something you're not happy with, you are both part of the family and both need to have fair treatment.
Hang in there though, its tough and change can be hard.
