Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
When I'm pissed off or need to be pumped up, I listen to music with a lot of energy, usually aggressive. Right off the top of my head, "there's no I in fuck you" by Walls of Jerico and "gimme something to break" (not sure of that's the song title) by Limp Bizkit.
When working, I need to zone out into it, so I usually go the techno route with The Crystal Method's albums Vegas and Tweekend, sometimes with Daft Punk's Alive 2007 album. Sometimes have other select titles thrown in for a mix, like "Faster Kill Pussycat" by Paul Oakenfold
If I am more in a rock chill mood, it's usually Jason Mraz and DMB.
If in a more rap mood, tracks like "kick it root down" by the beastie boys or "Superman" and "Run Rabbit Run" by Eminem.
My music preferences vary. I found out you can only have 100 stations on pandora.
In my car, I have Gish by The Smashing Pumpkins in the cd player.
Not sure why it matters, but I hate to communicate incorrect truths :)
If I need to be in a better mood, I like rock. Classic stuff from Bob Segar is good, but I run a gamut of variety, such as Megadeth and Metallica.
I also enjoy alternative and some pop. Even classical at times.
I have found that if I choose to listen to 80s love songs, that tears me up, so not often that I do that. ;)
this was today's favourite, I was singing and dancing in my car-seat driving through the mountains, my gf turned it off after about the fifth play -- she can be such a demanding diva sometimes !
