I know exactly the minute my boyfriend could be over for lunch, or after work. (Unlike ex, who would forget about other commitments).
Anyway, my boyfriend felt guilty that he took me to a potluck where I ate undercooked meat, and got food poisening. Today is the first day in 7 days I could eat, it was nasty.
I hadn't talked to him in 3 days, didn't have the energy to call him. I finally felt better today, went food shopping, and when he didn't call or stop over after work, figured he had something better to do. I was in the process of making dinner when he scared the crap out of me by showing up.
Then, was having a fit because I was shaking (he knows how paranoid I am).
I don't know what he did for 1-1/2 after work, but he was upset with ME. He saw what I was making (it was just a healthy tuna-bean salad), and assumed I was having someone over for dinner. (When my son is gone, I try out new recipes) I invited him, but he didn't want to cramp my style. He did what he came for (emply snow blower, sharpen lawn blower blade) and left. No good bye, nothing.
Question - Men~If you unexpectedly find a single woman you care for making dinner, what do you think?

Sounds like he is .. ummm... off centered cus he hasn't seen you for a few days? Maybe? I don't know. I know why he said the things he did and left why he did, he is seriously upset otherwise he would have said get me a plate. I know, I would have just grabbed a plate.
If I am right, he has been through a hellious relationship prior as well?
He knows that I cook healthy, I had to for my ex who had high BP and cholesterol, and likes stopping in for lunch to eat leftovers.
He spent most of yesterday with me, and took me to dinner. He went out for a few drinks with co-workers, and wanted to get what he did, done, and needed to get home. He was afraid that if he came in, he'd want to stay.
He's trying to show his wife that he's there for their son. She stopped divorce proceedings because he wanted 50/50 custody, and she had filed for full custody, she doesn't want to share. She claimed, in court he was an absentee father, abusive to her, and an alchoholic.
I get it, but he could have just said what he was doing, said he needed to get home, and it would have been fine.
