Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
That's why they say divorce is the same if not worse than grieving the loss of a loved one.
It's hard to come to closure.
One day at a time..
Hugs to you!
the mood swings and churning stomach are still there, but less frequent and severe
it still hurts, every day but slowly things do start to get better and you think more clearly, hell i even smile again now
the more i talk or type about it the better i feel, you have to let it out
The pain you are feeling is the tearing of your soul through divorce/separation. It will take time to heal, there is no easy way. Rest assured that your ex is feeling the same, even if it may not seem so. No-one escapes the pain!!
Im listening to Hillsong ( gospel worship group) right now and the gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach is slowly being uplifted.
Regards
Ricky
My son was killed 5 years ago and I have to tell you that this pain, for me, is worse than his death. His death was final, but my husband is still walking, talking, and breathing. I see him every day if only for a few minutes. He doesn't want to leave.
I have read it 3 times while going through what you are going through. I did the exercises and tried to continue to evaluate where I was in the pyramid. If you are a thinker, this might help take your mind off of the pain and look at the bigger picture in rebuilding a new life (the pyramid).
It will get better but it hurts badly in the beginning. We all wish there was a way to bypass the pain. I never found any short cuts on my continuing journey to the top of the pyramid.
Best Wishes, RR99
