I am getting good at the taking care of myself part of this separation. If you asked me a few months ago I would never have seen it. But I am, and I am proud of myself for that. I take care of me, take care of my boys, take care of everything really. I see a great therapist, have super awesome supportive friends (one of which is coming to see me for my bday in 2 weeks), go out and make time for myself, and for the most part I am in a positive area. I have bad days as I am sure everyone does but I feel good!
BUT what I see as mixed messages still confuse the hell out of me. Even my therapist says she doesn't quite get where he is coming from sometimes. He texts (sometimes for the dumbest things like he's finding a reason to text me) , he comes by to hang with the kids and talks to me if he is still there when I get home, invites me to go out with him and the kids on some of their outings, seems like he is stalling when it's time to leave sometimes (even my son notices this), and offers to do stuff for me. Last night he was headed to the laundromat after dropping my youngest off and asked me if i needed anything washed?,gives me extra money when he thinks i need it without me asking, and he posts all these odd quotes on his facebook page sometimes sounding like regret and sometimes not so much. I'm in absolutely no rush to get into the divorce area especially like this. I still think he is very confused and not especially sure what he wants. I'm really hoping time will help this situation. I really love and miss him very much and cannot imagine what life would be like without him.
Like I said I am in a good place personally but just very confused by his actions. If I am going to be honest the separation may have been for the best. I have realized things about myself and our marriage that I never would have. I really wonder how many couples have survived separation and built better relationships out of it. I'm thinking nobody on here has done that because i'm sure they would have no more need to post on this group if they had lol. But I would really love to hear of some good stories of couples reconciling and surviving the separation
