Divorce is just an awful thing, big hugs, Patti
That said, we're hurting. We are grieving. It's OK.
But if you are trying to save your marriage then a therapist could help you to work out ways to better communicate.
Yet here I sit, I filed. So I am a hypocrite.
I still periodically send love emails, and always remind her that I love her and the kids. Never stopped. I hold to hope that we can reconcile, but I am also honest with myself that it is unlikely.
In the end, I all I can offer is hope that you find what you need and are looking for.
I understand falling out of love, and if you want a divorce over that...then okay...
But if your kids are young, sometimes life just wears you down. Parenting in today's world is much more demanding than many people realize. When I was young, my mother opened up the door, and I ran out and played...from a really young age...3 or so... That's obviously not possible anymore.
Divorce is really expensive, really hard, and sometimes creates as many issues as it solves (driving kids back and forth, exchanging toys, clothes, winter coats and boots...aren't always simple things).
When's the last time the two of you went off on a NICE vacation by yourselves? Ever? If you can, try it first...take 4-7 days. Sleep. Forget the house. Try to reconnect and remember why you fell in love to begin with.
If bills are an issue...move to a smaller house. Money stress can kill a marriage...
IDK, just my 2 cents. Everyone has to find their own way. Big supportive hugs, Patti
