Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

How many people would consider a meet up group? We should maybe consider trying to set one up for our respective communities. I think that being in company can sometimes help us. As much as we want to be alone, we shouldnt be, and being with other people, especially if we are all kind of dealing with the same thing, may add to our support.

I joined three meetup groups in my area when I was going through my divorce. They were a huge help to me. I made new friends who didn't know my EX so they didn't ask about him. I got to participate in some fun activities which led to self discovery...ate at new restaurants...and some older ones I wanted to try. Great fun!

Misred, thank you for that feed back. I think that people are hesitant to do things like this for several reasons. Aside from the desire to want to ball up and die, it can be a little uneasy to trust something like this. But if people are open for it, I'm willing to do it.

I think this is a great idea. It's too bad we probably all live in different places, maybe even different countries... I, for example, am in Canada. How would we go about starting it?

Thank you. I'm guessing that we can just try to find out where we are located and then those of us who may be close to each other can try to set it up for that particular area. Me, I'm in NYC.

Oh, nice! I really would like to do this. I think it will help us. I don't know the first thing about putting something like this together but we should try.

You've been a great listener on here! I will have to try vitamins I've been taking tylenol and that helps a little too. I found an article all about tylenol and heartbreaks that made sense.

Thank you so much! I appreciate you. I'm here in it with you girl so I know. I heard about the Tylenol too. I just worried that my body would develop an immunity to it so I went with the vitamins. But whatever positive things we need to do to help us, we gotta do it.

May I ask how old you are? I'm 28 and all ny girlfriends are either married or soon to be and it's discouraging that this is now my life.

I'm just seeing this and I'm in agreement with the Meetup and I'm from NY.. Im so Amazed that we're all struggling with the same issue. Let us all be hopeful that there is light at the other end of the tunnel.

I've started Meetup groups before but not for this. They do cost $ though. My issue is that people my age (51) are often heading for retirement while I'm starting over. I don't have the money or time that they do to go out.
