Ok, I did it. The OC Convention is open to all.

I have blocked some rooms at the Quality Inn Oceanfront for the weekend starting Friday October 3 and ending Sunday October 5, 2008.

Room Rates are $109.00 a night. (Not bad, really)

Reservations call 1-800-837-3586 and say you are with the DS Members coming in Oct.

I did sign a contract, BUT...CAN CANCEL by AUG 18th if I have to.

Reservations received AFTER Monday, August 18th, 2008 will be provided on a space available basis at prevailling rates.

I am leaving it up to YOU, DS Members, to make your own reservations.

I found out the airport is 2 1/2 drive to hotel and I live in Indy so doesn't look like I can make it work. ):

Maybe next time there will be a place closer to an airport or within driving distance.

I just stumbled upon this....a meetup in OC MD I'm only 1 1/2 hours from there...hmmm I may have to look into this. Of course we have a beach house down in Dewey (not that far) so sounds like interesting fun....

Ok, I'm in, just need to find someone to share the ride. I will be traveling from northern Ohio, thru Pa on route 76. I wouldn't mind sharing the room, too. It would cut costs significantly.
