Once their mind is made up i sincerely believe THATS IT. They're on a one way trajectory and that's OUT. Went through this with my ex wife of 24 years, she was also seeing someone I didn't find out about until months after she left, a "family friend", it was hopeless she was long gone before she was physically gone. Best to cut the cord asap and go as much no contact as possible until the final divorce and everything's split. Sucks but I just don't think you can change someones mind when they're that determined to make you history.

As well ask some friends.
Interview each lawyer and settle with the one that seems to best suits your style.

it's me. You are all correct. Why don't mates communicate anymore and let you know that they are not feeling the love anymore? Why did my wife let it go so long and then just say it is over. It is like she doesn't even care about our 11 year old daughters feelings. I told her that our daughter might have a hard time with our divorce, she said she will be fine. Like it is no big deal! How would she know, she isn't in my daughter's mind. My wife seems very selfish, just caring about what she wants from someone new. I am a great guy! The people who I have talked to say they can't believe it, we seemed like two peas in a pod. For the veterans here, please tell me that it will work out and be ok. I am not in a good mood.

My ex wife said the same about our daughter too. She was 17 at the time but still a junior in high school. She chose to stay with me and recently graduated from veterinary assistant school and works at a local veterinary clinic..no thanks to her mother who was only concerned with "her" happiness..my ex flat out told me she thought about it for 2 years before leaving..why they go that route who the hell knows but I can tell you it's not that uncommon. I've read enough these past years to see this same story over and over ...
