so she has the affair, gets caught because somehow he got her password, and gets to sue her husband because she got caught?
another reason why i just LOVE lawyers.
i gave my ex all my passwords, even to my support board, and vise versa. we didnt have anything to hide. when he first blocked me from his facebook account, changed the cell phone password and got a new email address, red flags and sirens went up everywhere. those who have nothing to hide, hide nothing.
so this wife must got tired being open or watched by this crazy husband?
my husband wants to know everything about me, even in the toilet.
hiding is natural and that's human being.
But I do think there is a implied morality that it is wrong to sign into anyones email for any reason short of life and death to read their email.
And while I certainly don't condone improper relationships - there has to be a sense of privacy - you don't have to tell your spouse everything - that is just as unhealthy as telling nothing.
thats why i love this board- this is the second mind jolt i have had today by coming on here. i like shaking things up. it helps me learn more about myself.
i will be interested to hear how this case pans out.
If the court had not charged him & instead accepted his reasons for violating her privacy, others will be able to use this case in the future as precedence.
Having said that, i think it happens far too often. I have a couple of friends who have confessed to having their ex's password and checking their email. I think it's not only wrong, it's a slippery slope and usually nothing good comes from it for the person snooping.
after he changed them and we seperated, i stopped checking. i don't know if its worth felony charges. to me its like giving someone your car keys and saying you can drive me car but don't leave fingerprints on the steering wheel or else.
if the password was obtained in a different manner, then i can see charges filed. however, felony? really?
seems like, she destroyed the marriage by cheating and now makes light of him checking her emails to shadow the fact that she was initially wrong to begin with. thats just my thoughts. :)
that's some wife who cheats on her husband and then has the gall to charge him with invading her privacy afterwards.
wow
how about giving him a pass on that one thing? like he hasn't been through enough already?
or who knows, maybe she divorced him because he was too controlling, and invasive, in which case, just divorce the guy and walk away...THEN have your affair?
I dunno, I don't get some people's choices sometimes.
