I have been in love with this woman I know for a really long time. I ended a previous relationship because of my feelings for her. I told her how I felt last June and she decided to give me a shot.

But now a year later I think it is over...she is really busy with school and I was putting too much pressure on her to spend time together. In May she told me she didn't think we were compatible. I was insulted because I feel like the word "compatible" is for something much more mundane than our relationship. She wanted a break so I gave her some time alone.

Fast forward to now...last week she told me she couldn't talk to me anymore. I have been so distraught and desperate. I am really not in a good place. She has given me so many mixed messages over the past month that I felt like I needed to walk away.

I tried to cheer myself up by making a dating profile online, just to see what was out there...everyone I saw it just reminded me of how they aren't as beautiful as her. I know it wasn't really what I wanted. I mean I still am so in love with her and I wouldn't want to go on a date with anyone else. But I felt like it was a place to distract my thoughts. To make matters worse, she found my dating profile and freaked out about it last night. But still said that I was better off with someone else and that she was a horrible person. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am so confused and hurt. I'm tired of falling for the slightest of chances that she will want to get back to me.

I'm so heartbroken. I wish I didn't love her so much.
