A few weeks ago my bosses decided that we should have our weekly team meeting at a nearby casual lunch place. We sat at a long table in the back, and it quickly became obvious that whoever had control of the music in the restaurant was going through a tough time... I swear, it was a Pandora breakup station. Song after song about broken hearts. I sat across from all three of my bosses with tears in my eyes, trying hard not to break down. Everyone was wincing with each song, because they know what I'm going through. By the time John Mayer's Dreaming With A Broken Heart came on, I thought I'd just die.

I usually use music for everything, but I've found that I've had to close myself off from it for a while. It's too hard.

It's weird how music takes on different meanings. Music can be so therapeutic and a true way to relax. On the other hand, it can bring back a flood of memories that cause the tears to flow. I, too, have had the tears a flowing because of music. My ex and I broke up almost two years ago and I still hear songs that remind me of him. UGH!! It's not as painful as it used to be, but it still is hard to listen to. I try to listen to my iPod because I don't have any "our" songs on it. So sorry it's happening to you, but know that you aren't alone. :-)

I've also had to cut huge chunks out of my playlist. Because he's a musician, music played a large role in our life together. I just found out his band is recording another album including a few songs I contributed lyrics to or inspired. Some I've heard, some not. I don't know that I'll ever be able to listen to the album now.

On Valentine's Day...the song that was playing was "Say something Im giving up on you". I really dislike that song now.....lol

Haha, I always come close to crying when I listen Bring Me To Life from Evanescence or Grenade by Bruno Mars... And I actually cry if Hero-Enrique reaches my ears. I made her a video with this song in background.. Damn! brings back memories...
